Digra Mx 2025

The Third International DiGRA Mexico Conference took place in Mexico City on July 8–10, 2025.

Under the theme “RESILIENCE,” the conference explored the capacity for adaptation and transformation within the field of video games.

Today, the video game industry faces a wide range of challenges that test its ability to adapt and evolve, making these issues key topics of research. The conference examined how developers, studios, and scholars address these challenges and develop innovative solutions. It brought together researchers, developers, and industry professionals to discuss these issues and explore strategies for resilience in an industry undergoing constant transformation.

Publication

Conference contributions were published in the conference proceedings with DOI identifiers. A selection of extended papers was invited for publication in academic journals.

Call for Papers

Submissions could be presented either in person or online. All accepted and presented papers were published in the conference proceedings, available in open access through the DiGRA MX website. Submissions were open internationally and were not restricted to Mexican authors. An individual author could appear in a maximum of two submissions. Papers could be submitted in either Spanish or English. Each submission was required to include: introduction, objectives, methods, results and conclusion. Authors were required to use the official conference template to ensure consistency in formatting and style. Completed submissions were uploaded through the Microsoft CMT platform.

Presentation Format

  • Each presenter was allocated a maximum of nine minutes to present their paper.
  • A question-and-answer session followed each presentation block.
  • Presentations could be delivered either in person or online and in either Spanish or English.
  • Presenters were responsible for ensuring compliance with all technical requirements and completing the necessary preparations prior to their session to guarantee smooth and efficient presentations.

Workshop Proposals

Workshop proposals were selected by the conference organizers through a non-anonymous review process.
Workshops could not exceed 55 minutes in duration.
